Privacy Policy — BaZi Daily

This page is a standard draft, not legal advice. Before this is actually used for a public commercial service, it should be reviewed by a qualified professional (e.g. legal counsel), especially if it reaches users outside Indonesia (EU GDPR, etc).

1. What data we collect

To calculate your BaZi chart, this app processes: name (optional), gender, birth date & time, time zone, and birth city/longitude (optional). We also store notes you write yourself in the "History" feature (daily outcome tags + free-text notes).

2. Where data is stored

By default, all data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) — nothing is sent to any server. If you choose to sign in with a Google account, your profile & history data is synced to Firebase/Google Cloud Firestore, technically restricted (security rules) so that only your own account can access its data — other users cannot see your data.

3. Third parties

Google Firebase/Firestore — optional cloud storage (only if you sign in), and Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In or email/password). Subject to Google's privacy policy.
Paddle.com — our payment processor and Merchant of Record for paid subscriptions. If you subscribe, your payment details (card number, billing address) are collected and processed directly by Paddle — we never see or store your full card details ourselves. See Paddle's privacy policy.
Brevo — our email service provider. If you start a paid trial, your email address and first name are shared with Brevo so we can send you onboarding emails about the trial. You can unsubscribe from these at any time via the link in each email. See Brevo's privacy policy.
Google AdSense (if/when enabled) — may use cookies/device identifiers to serve ads, including possibly personalized ads. See Google's ads policy.

4. Your rights

You can delete profiles and notes at any time from the Profile/History tab in the app. Local data can be fully removed by clearing site data in your browser. For cloud account deletion requests, contact us at the address below.

5. Not professional advice

This app is a reflective tool based on traditional metaphysics (BaZi/四柱八字). The calculated results are not medical, legal, or financial advice. Important decisions remain your own responsibility.

This service is not intended for children under 13.
